CHRISTMAS TIME IN ROME
Christmas time in Rome can be magical. There is plenty to see and do to help get you in a festive mood. The weather in Rome at this time of year can be very cold, but is often still nice and bright so remember to wrap up warm before heading out to Christmas events.A great place to visit to get in the Christmas mood is the Natale Oggi event which means Christmas today. This event began back in 1959 and with each year it becomes bigger and better. This Christmas event is held from the 7th December to the 17th December and is home to an array of Christmas fare. You can sample and buy a variety of foods, buy wonderful toys for the children, they have plenty of crafts, jewellery and lots of Christmas decorations for you to buy. There is also good old Saint Nick for the children to visit and a number of musical acts throughout the event.
Another great event to see whilst here is the Arti and Mestieri Expo that is also being held from the 7th December to the 17th December. You can browse and purchase a huge array of gifts here for Christmas presents. They have a huge selection of items from clothing, accessories, cosmetics, textiles, home accessories and gift ware. You are bound to find something of interest for you here.
Both of these events are being held at the Nuova Fiera di Roma an impressive architectural building situated at Via Portuense, 1455 just along the Roma-Fiumicino motorway.
Whether you decide to visit these events or chose to just sit outside a cafe people watching and enjoying a good cappuccino, you can be sure to have a fabulous time in Rome at Christmas.
